A Perfect Network Marketing Model For You

By Michael Dlouhy

My son Matthew & I went on a trip up the East Coast. He told me on the trip that Dodge had come out with a Viper pick-up truck … exact same engine that is in the Viper sports car.

I thought that was pretty cool.

We got back from the trip, and my wife Linda & I were out running errands. I said, “Hey, let’s stop at Dodge and see if they have one of those Viper trucks.”

First year they made them it was a regular cab truck, stick shift. Then they realized they were missing a huge marketshare, because most people today buy the 4-door pick-up trucks to use as a family car.

A Very Different Car Salesman

So we walked into the dealership. The salesman came up and asked, “Are you being helped?” We talked, and he asked what I was looking for. I told him about my talk with Matthew.

The salesman said, “Great! I’ve got 2 of those trucks. Let’s go look at them.”

So we did. He had a demo model, which the dealership owner had been driving and put 5,000 miles on it. And they had a brand-new truck. We were sitting in the new one. He asked if I wanted to take it for a test-drive.

I said, “Sure, why don’t we get the keys for the demo.”

The salesman says, “No, that’s fine. We’ll take the new one.” So we went out for a test drive. It was an awesome, exciting ride.

He asked what kind of vehicle I drive. I told him it’s a powerstroke diesel in a Ford Super-Duty pick-up.

“Big difference between the Dodge & the Ford,” I told him. “The Viper pick-up is like a drag racing truck. Mine is more for hauling.”

He said, “What do you use it for?”

He had heard what I said. He was actually listening to me!

“Well, I’ve got a 27′ Proline boat with twin 200 hp fuel-injected Mercuries on the back. You really need a heavy truck, something with the power to pull it up the boat ramp.”

He said, “Boy, THIS truck sure wouldn’t do it for you!”

He Put My Self-Interest Ahead of His Own!

It’s oh, so rare in the car business … or the network marketing businesses. He got data which told him the Viper wasn’t suited for my needs. And because he was looking at it from my viewpoint, he gained enormous credibility in my eyes.

We got back to the dealership. Now, I’ve driven a lot of fast vehicles. We own a Corvette. I’ve driven a Cobra. But I can tell you, that Viper pick-up is faster than any of them. I think it’s faster than the Viper sports car. They have bigger, wider tires, so you get great traction. At the blink of an eye, you’re at 100 miles an hour.

It was an exciting ride. Linda & I had a lot of fun.

We get back, and the salesman starts showing us other Dodge trucks. I’ve never owned a Dodge pick-up, but I can tell you, they’ve come a long way. He showed us the new 4-door truck, and the back of the cab area is bigger than any other truck on the market. It’s amazing.

And what was really amazing is that not one time did he try to sell me, close me, ask me if I wanted payments, nothing about that. He never pressured or pushed me.

We were in a hurry when we got done looking because our daughter was borrowing the BMW to go to the Comedy Club in Tampa. So we needed to get going, which we had told him in the beginning.

And he just said, “Anytime you like, stop back in, look at our new vehicles.”

He Never Tried To Get The Keys To My Vehicle

No sales, no close.  None of the tactics these car places do.

Never in my wildest imagination did I ever dream that I would buy a Dodge pick-up truck. But I can tell you, if I was going to buy a truck, I’d go back and see that guy.

And I have told many people about this guy and what a great salesman he was by not selling me.

He asked questions in the normal flow of conversation. We were just two truck-lovers shooting the breeze, and that’s the key to the whole thing.

I guarantee you that guy’s going to get some business because he didn’t sell me. That is the network marketing model I have used for as long as I can remember, and it will work for you, too.

Network Marketing Is NOT A Sales Business

By Michael Dlouhy

The truth is, network marketing is a teaching and mentoring business.

In other words:

1. Don’t waste your time learning all about colloidal minerals, long-distance switches, herbal remedies, or life insurance mortality tables.
2. Don’t memorize the philosophy of the monk in the white lab coat who harvests your product by scraping mold off the rock twice a year on the full moon.
3. Don’t waste your time becoming an expert on any other product or service.

Why not?

Because these are NOT your products!

Your Product Is People

THAT is how you should spend your time. Study people. Find out how you can help them reach their dreams. (That’s THEIR dreams, not your dreams.)

People join people. They don’t join companies. People don’t care that the president of your company is a family man and he has three or four families to prove it.

If you will only build people, then people will build your business. When you build people, your retention rate goes through the roof.

The MLM “heavy hitters” swear up and down that network marketing is just a numbers game. And to them, it is. That’s how they play it.

That will NEVER work for YOU! You may last a few days making a hundred phone calls a day and burning off 98 of them … but that MLM business model is not sustainable for you over time.

Even if it was, 92% of the population can’t do it. So you can’t build that way.

And even if you could, you wouldn’t want to. I talked to one of those “heavy hitters” the other day, and he told me that 95% of the people he talked to were “dead wood. He said he built his business by getting rid of them. When this guy said “dead wood”, he was talking about YOU … and anyone else who’s not a gung-ho, churn ‘em & burn ‘em recruiter.

Why would you EVER want to be in business with someone like that?

People Are NOT A Number

People have goals, dreams and desires. They are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandmothers, and grandfathers to people who love them. They are NOT a number.

The network marketing “heavy hitters” are recruiters, pure & simple. A recruiter never knows their personally sponsored people’s WHY, their dreams & goals, their spouse’s or children’s names. It’s all about the numbers.

That is not YOU. If you treated people that way, you’d feel awful about it … and you know it.

The way for you to be successful in MLM is to become a mentor with a servant’s heart.

When you do, people will ask you to please sponsor them into your business … even before they know what business you are in! Don’t laugh - it happens to me every week.

I do a free training call 4 nights a week at 8 pm Eastern time, teaching you exactly, step-by-step, how to achieve this very result. If you’d like the details on that training call, just email me.

You know that you hate being sold to and you hate selling to others. From time to time, you convince yourself that you can do it “this time”, to build that big MLM income. But in your heart of hearts, you know it’s just not true. If you have to build your business by selling, it will never happen. You just can’t do it over time.

But the good news is, you don’t have to. For huge network marketing success, just learn to become that “mentor with a servant’s heart.” THAT is 100% doable for you, because you’d love to be able to help others.

Harness THAT desire, and you’ll change your life!
