Be Ready For Life’s Surprises

By Michael Dlouhy

I’ll bet you’ve noticed that sometimes you get a life or business outcome you didn’t figure on … or want. And other times, you get a really good outcome from a situation that looked pretty bad.

To me, experiences like this emphasize how important it is to have the outlook that your life is a wonderful adventure, full of surprises … which means you have to be ready for pretty much anything.

You’re guaranteed to struggle at times. Knowing that, you can go in with a plan to get you back on the right road, no matter what the situation. And at times, you’ll have great success. That’s when you need a different plan, to really take advantage of your achievement.

No matter how much you know, or how experienced you are, or how detailed your plans are, your life and your future can change in a heartbeat.

In network marketing, you’re meeting new people all the time. And they bring with them new situations and new opportunities. I’ve found I get the best results in life & business when I’m really open to these new ideas. Every once in awhile, you’ll find a gem that makes your journey a lot more fun, or helps you reach your goals sooner.

No matter how much you plan, much of what happens is totally outside your control. So first, be ready and be alert. Then take what comes and use it to build the life you have dreamed of. The more you mentally prepare to adjust to life’s inevitable changes, the better you will get at achieving your dreams.

What To Say To a Negative Person

By Michael Dlouhy

I spoke with a prospect recently. For several minutes, she ranted about how bad the drivers are in her town, how rude the clerks are in her favorite store, and generally, how people don’t just don’t give a darn about anything anymore.

I talk to a lot of people every day, so I hear stuff like this on a regular basis. And I’ve learned exactly what to say:

“Thank you for your negativity!”

Her attitude turned on a dime and walked right out the door. The rest of that phone call, not another negative word was heard.

I think most people don’t even recognize that they’re going down that slippery negative slope. They just need a little help to bring them back to the upbeat, achievement-oriented world.

Life is ironic. I think of one friend who was incredibly negative most of the time and (in my opinion), that attitude was a major cause of his early death. And yet he was married to a woman who never stopped smiling, who always had a kind word for everyone.

Opposites truly do attract.

She had such a love for everybody that, no matter what he said, it just never seemed to affect her.

I wonder what would have happened if she’d said, “Oh, thank you, dear! Thank you for your negativity!”

The old !#&(*#@ might still be around!

Anyway, when you are faced with that stream of angry words that just won’t stop, NOW you know what to say!

We appreciate you!

7 Steps To Achieving Your Goals

By Michael Dlouhy

Most people set goals … which they never achieve.

Why? What is the difference between people who set goals and reach them, and the people who set goals and never come close?

I see a few differences:

1. You’ve got to have a really big dream, one that totally captures your imagination, that truly inspires you.

2. Choose a model, someone who has done what you want to do. Study every aspect of that person, their skills, their resources, and what they have achieved, so you understand what it takes.

3. Write down every detail of that dream, no matter how trivial it may seem. The more detail you can picture in your mind, the closer you get to your dream becoming reality.

4. Spend time each day picturing your exact dream. After you have built your dream picture, it doesn’t take but 3-5 minutes a day to focus completely on it. That action will drive you to your dream’s achievement.

5. Focus every action in your day on making some part of your dream a reality.

6. Wherever fear or doubt enter the picture, step right into them. Do whatever it is you fear, over and over, so it no longer looms as a stop on your dream.

7. Never ever ever quit.

We have personally found these steps to be very effective.

Go Forth and Multiply!

By Michael Dlouhy

It’s important to turn your reaction to ideas and information into results in your MLM business. Way back when, Adam and Eve were told to go forth and be fruitful. Obviously, THEY got results.

“Fruitful” creates a mental image of abundance. And that is critical - it implies that you create more than you need just for yourself. In my experience, the more you create that benefits others, the more satisfying your life will be. We get a constant stream of emails, cards & letters from thankful individuals. That is great nourishment for our hearts … which, at times, everybody’s heart needs.

Make it standard operating procedure to come up with more ideas than you could ever possibly put into existence. Then you can share your bounty. When you put your mind and body to the task of creating as much bounty as possible, and then you share it with others, you have a peace of mind that just can’t be matched.

So work hard and have fun in network marketing. Look after all the details of your business. The more you observe and experience, the more effective you will get … and the more productive you will become. THEN what you share with others can create a legacy that will long outlive you.
