More MLM Planning - YOUR Funeral!

By Michael Dlouhy

OK. Where’s he going THIS time, you’re wondering.

I admit, this strategy is a mental & emotional challenge for some people. But it sure helps you focus on what is really important in your life.

When you look back on your life … and your MLM business … will you see a timid person, someone who just couldn’t bring themself to take a bold action? When you’re on your deathbed, will you wish you’d had different priorities?

What IS your real situation right now? Do you spend a lot of time fretting over those details that you won’t even remember a year from now? Do you spend more time thinking about those details than you spend bonding with the people you love … or working to achieve your life’s dreams? Imagine you’re there at your own funeral, looking back. What would you change?

So here’s the good part. You are NOT at your funeral. There is still time to make those changes, both in your MLM business and in your personal life. Focus more on the person you want to be and less on the eggs that got smashed by the careless bagboy at the supermarket. Focus on what those things are that you would look back on fondly and say, “Wow! I was REALLY something. That was a GREAT life!”

And I bet that means you’ll have a lot more fun in all the time BEFORE your funeral, too!

MLM Leads - Write a Letter from Your Heart

By Michael Dlouhy

This little exercise can change lives.

Especially YOURS, although that’s not the primary focus.

Each week, write a letter straight from your heart … to someone. Doesn’t matter who. Just sit down with pen and paper - or at the keyboard - and start writing your note to tell this person how much they mean to you. The act of writing this letter will focus your day on the gratitude you feel for ALL your blessings. And that focus is worth a lot.

List all the people you’d like to thank. Then write a letter a week - more often is OK, too - letting them know the difference they have made in your life. If you run out of people in your life who you want to thank, write the letters to people you’ve never met, but who have affected your life. An author, for instance. One of the big purposes of this letter is to focus your thoughts on gratitude, so it doesn’t really matter whether you’re sending it to a person you know or not.

The intent is simple: to openly state the love & gratitude you feel. It may be tough to put it into words. But the more letters you write, the easier it will get. If it seems an impossible task, then just start with a note of 2 or 3 short sentences. Tell the person what you are grateful for. Tell them how appreciative you are, and the affect they have had on your life. You can write a lot or a little, but this message will make a difference to them - and to you.

One result of writing these letters is, your thoughts get focused on what is good in your life. And, of course, the person you are thanking will be touched … and may turn into one of your best MLM leads. Those are GREAT outcomes. That’s why I suggest you write your first letter today.

MLM Planning - Will THIS Make a Difference?

By Michael Dlouhy

Almost daily, I talk with people who focus on stuff that will either make no difference or will actually have a negative impact on their business and/or personal life.

This is a lack of perspective. When you’re in the heat of the moment is NOT the time to be making your next decision. MLM planning is best done in your peaceful moments, by yourself, with no outside pressures. You can see clearly and you can plan clearly.

Those pressures will show up on a regular basis, for sure. It’s critical to your MLM success that when you must deal with situations, you follow a plan prepared in advance for exactly this circumstance. The alternative is to react when your mind is in turmoil. Not a good time to be reacting.

And when planning how to handle a situation, train yourself to have some perspective. Imagine that you are actually a year in the future, looking back at this “problem”. Then ask this question:

Was that thing really any big deal?

Most of the situations people agonize over today, they won’t even remember a year from now. So what’s the point of wasting time focusing on something like that?

Occasionally, you’ll come up with something that IS a big deal. And this little trick will help you spot it when it happens. But you’ll learn that most of the time, the best course is just to make ANY decision and get on with your life and your MLM business.

Maybe you had an argument with someone close to you. Maybe you handled a prospect badly. Or lost your wallet. Or caught the flu. Will you even remember it a year from now?

Chances are, it’ll be just one more irrelevant detail. Taking this perspective won’t make everything go away, but you’re sure to laugh at some of the situations that used to throw you for a loop. So instead of getting angry and/or overwhelmed, plan ahead. Train yourself to use your energy for better purposes.

We appreciate you!

MLM Tips - This is NUTS, Folks!

By Michael Dlouhy

Mark Twain was a funny guy. He had great insight into human personality, too, which is maybe why he was so funny. He’d have been a great MLM sponsor. One thing in particular he said, I have found to be SO true in SO many people I talk with:

“I have been through some terrible things in my life, some of which actually happened.”

Man, isn’t that the truth! It seems most of the people on this planet spend a significant portion of their lives pouting … or worrying … or actually even 100% insanely hysterical over … stuff that never actually happens.

Look. Planning for the future is important. And each day you should spend a few minutes picturing in your mind what that better future will look like, in great detail.

But other than that, your sanity depends on living in the present moment. Aside from those few moments of positive visualization every day, right now is where you always are. To worry or fret over the future for even 1 minute a day is a crime, in my opinion.

But almost every day, I talk to people who have mastered that neurotic art.

They let past problems and future concerns dominate their present moments. Result? Anxiety, frustration, depression, hopelessness. Worse, because of all this worry about stuff which mostly will never actually happen, they either postpone or spend no time actually planning their own happiness and goals.

This is nuts!

And even those who have actually planned out a realistic plan to achieve happiness and other goals … if they spend time every day focusing on some negative that may happen at some time in the future … then they have no hope of ever reaching their dreams.

The clock is ticking. Your time in this life is running out. Your time is way too precious to spend it focusing on what won’t work or what bad things might happen. Your kids are growing up, family members are moving away and dying, and you’re getting a little long in the tooth, yourself. Your body doesn’t move quite the same way it did when you were 20.

Use those minutes wisely, or your MLM dreams … and all your other dreams … will slip out of reach.

Today is not a dress rehearsal. It’s the actual production, in full view of the audience. The truth is, you may not even be here for tomorrow’s show. YOU may be cancelled at any time, with no prior notice.

All you can control is today, so focus on that.
